Qoh.12 olrsv – Ecclesiastes
[9] Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging proverbs with great care.

Ecclesiastes.12 mprsv
[9] Besides being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge, weighing and studying and arranging proverbs with great care.

Ecclesiastes.12 olt
[9] And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.

Ecclesiastes.12 mpt
[9] A further word: Because Koheleth was a sage, he continued to instruct the people.  He listened to and tested the soundness(m) of many maxims.

(m) A noun, like dibber (Jer. 5.13 “The prophets shall prove mere wind for the WORD is not in them; thus-and-thus shall be done to them!”), which occurs in such postbiblical phrases as shanim kethiq(qe)nart, “normal years” (lit. “years according to their prophecy”)

The words of Solomon as he sought understanding and the meaning of life and LIFE !!!!

One of my favorite books of the WORD !!!!

Compare the mpt verse to the other three:

“sage” v. “wise”

“sage” – a follower of GOD for Solomon was humble and contrite.  This fits well to Solomon.  “wise” in others eyes but, for Solomon he was a sage.

“instruct” v. “taught knowledge” I can instruct you to seek GOD one on ONE, but I can not teach you knowledge, you must find that by going to GOD THROUGH GOD.

The second parts are completely different.

In mpt Solomon instructs “listen to and test the soundness” of what is being said, taking it all back to GOD for HIS W.H.A.T. !!!!  mpt fits the SPIRIT of GOD where the others do not.  They fit with religion and not the SPIRIT OF GOD !!!!!

Contemplation:

1. Read the whole book !!!!

2. Then consider the Conclusion !!!!  “The sum of the matter, when all is said and done: Revere GOD and observe HIS COMMANDMENTS!  For this applies to all mankind.”
