1. “vain”: having or showing an excessively high opinion of one’s appearance, abilities, or worth.

2. i prefer “swear falsely” it is more direct !!!!

3. But, “take in vain“, works in the sense of claiming ownership to GOD &/OR THE WAY TO GOD !!!!
