Last night as I was preparing for this JOG I was working away from my paper resources and was using an online version of the Tanakh and Bible. I found several verses that I could use. This morning one kind of dropped into place out of my Tanakh (A New Translation of the holy Scriptures According to the Traditional Hebrew Text – The Jewish Publication Society – Philadelphia & Jerusalem, Copyright 1985). Here is the verse for this mornings JOG:
“He showed them a direct way to reach a settled place.” Psalm 107.7.
For me it seemed filled with the SPIRIT OF GOD: “HE” GOD – “DIRECT WAY” – ISRAEL of Ancient of Days, “he who strives with GOD or GOD strives” – “to reach” its one on ONE face to FACE journey with GOD – “a settled place” my spirit at home with GOD !!!!!!!
Then I checked the online Tanakh I was using:
“And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.” Psalm 107.7.

For me it seems to have lost most of its SPRIT OF GOD and became much more physical “a city of habitation”. Certainly one can project this in SPIRIT to a future Jerusalem, but with the text of the verse and the period of the verse I think that is a stretch.
I guess that’s what makes it so hard to find GOD these days, every one, even those within their own religion, manipulates the WORD OF GOD just like salacious satan did with Eve and Adam in the Garden. And that is why I believe it is critical to study as many different versions of the WORD as you can, and trust in GOD to lead you “to a settled place.”
